Ps92:14A They shall still bring forth fruit in old age

From the desk of Ed Barrington:

Well here we are in the middle of September already, seems like only yesterday it was summer.

School has already started, daylight is getting shorter, the weather is getting cooler, and in case you haven’t noticed, the leaves are falling. Seems like it has all  happened at once.

Unless we have our heads in the sand, the news on the TV and in the newspapers, all point to the “end times. The war drums are beating around the world.

Acts 1: 6 & 7 – When they therefore were come together, they asked Him, saying , Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom of Israel?

And He said unto them, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power.

I Thessalonians 5: 1-6 But of the times  and seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord cometh as a thief in the night. Ye are all children of light and of children of the day: we are not of the night or darkness. Therefor let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

If Jesus returns, will He find us watchful and sober in serving? Or will we be worrying so much about gang violence, or war with the Islam nations, or the pervert next door that we hide in our homes and pray, “Come quickly Lord Jesus?

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.

THIS IS THE TIME TO BE PLUCKING; WILL THE LORD CATCH US SERVING?
